This is an interesting article and the primary reason I choose to use Credit Unions instead of banks.
Litigation has been going on for years with the banks over fees charged to customers.
Successful companies focus on taking care of all three of their major stakeholders - customers, employees and shareholders. Fees, while an appropriate tool to dissuade customers from inappropriate practices, are now more often used as "profit centers" to bolster profits.
Excessive fees upsets the balance between the three major stakeholders and works against the primary audience that they are designed to serve - their customers!
