McCain was one of the few left in congress who would think independently and could work in a non-partisan way. While he sometimes disagreed with his colleagues, he was principled and steered clear of personal attacks. As military veteran, honor was an integral part of his code.
Reaching across the aisle at times has become a forgotten skill. Unfortunately and sadly, politicians with this ilk are a dying breed.
God bless Senator McCain and his family. Thank you for your life long service to the betterment of the country! Your life and work are appreciated. It has not gone unnoticed.
