ATT at the breakup was my very first stock purchase. It provided a lot of great lessons.
It had so many split-offs - Lucent, Agere A & B, Avaya , etc. Like most people's first stock investment, it was a disaster, but more importantly, it was a best lesson I every had.
You'll never learn to swim unless your get in the pool. Formal education is important, but doing is equally important. Now get in the pool and keep moving!
