Cloud storage is clearly the cash cow to keep the delivery business afloat!
By breaking even in the delivery business, Amazon seeks to dominate that business. My only question is what will happen if they achieve their goal?
With too much domination by a single player, will we all pay higher prices as businesses that can't compete at such a low cost structure cease to exist and the field of delivery providers contracts substantially. Economically, it will then be harder for other businesses to re-establish themselves in the delivery market.
Maybe they will experience have the same fate that Walmart dealt with once they tried to dominate every merchandise segment?
No one knows the answer but it is an economic conundrum to think about.
