This is a follow up on my comments on Applied Materials that is in this weeks Barrons (9/30/17).
Before you make any investment - research it! Read, read, read! I am constantly surprised that with so much information at our fingertips with the internet how many people don't spend any time researching their stock picks. One of the sources I like to use is S&P's stock information. It shows a summary the major financial metrics for 10 years.
While no one knows exactly what will happen in the future, the knowledge gained through reading gives you information to make an educated assessment of the future.
