I love good news is bad news in the current environment. It is a growing trend. Why? It results in good companies at reasonable prices. Better still, companies with bad news get really pummeled into the ground.
While many "bad news" companies deserve to be pounded, there are others who are having a bad day (quarter) that go on "sale".
Stocks are like people. Really good people have terrible days. We all have experience in that. Does having a really bad day make you washed up? Oh hell no!
Life does not move in a steady 45 degree angle up to the right. There are dips and pullbacks, as well as, spikes and surges. The key is how you react to those setbacks. Stocks are much the same, but you would think by the market action on stocks with bad news that those stocks "went to hell in a handbasket"!
I'll take those shares off your hands at a nice discounted price! Thank you very much.
Keep your eyes pealed for those sweet pickings. They are out there. You just have to rummage through the throwaways and do a little dumpster diving while focusing on their historical fundamental metrics.
Be smart, be well-read, be aware and be successful.
