Time for the weekend and getting to the lawn

I love being outside.  Studies have shown that "nature time" is excellent for our health.  Many famous people were known for their long walks in nature, for example Einstein and Jobs.  There are many salubrious effects from immersion in nature!

Just get outside and reap the benefits.  Life isn’t just about work or the markets.  There is so much more.

Anyway, previously I took a random approach to caring for my lawn.  I paid for it eventually when the weeds took over.  So, last year, I ripped out what was left and re-planted.  It took two straight weeks for me to clear out what little grass and weeds were left.  Then, installing ten pallets of grass was tough.

Given the work I had to do, I don't want to retrace my steps.  So now, I am on top of things.  I spent a few months researching and grilling the county extension agent (Bless his soul!) about the proper way to address replanting and caring for it

Attached are my notes on growing and caring for St. Augustine grass in Jacksonville, FL.   I hope it helps someone else by reducing their "educational" learning curve. It has been an arduous journey.

Be smart, be well-read, be aware and be successful.
