Wise words from Chuck Noll who was the Pittsburgh Steelers coach in the 70's

Chuck Noll preached his message of time away from the office. He never wanted to just hang around the office.  Especially, when the work was done. His philosophy was "Get the work done so you could enjoy other parts of your life.".  Up to his time, he was one of the most winning coaches in the NFL.  It was his leadership that put the building blocks in place to create the team that resulted in the successful franchise that is the Pittsburgh Steelers today.

We now live in a world where people live to work instead of work to live.  People are "burning out" in droves.

Work is similar to doing physical exercise.  When working out, exercise actually breaks down the muscles so that those muscles can be built up stronger.  But, the building up of muscle ONLY occurs when the person RESTS  after exercise.  If someone continually works out, their body is not able to repair itself and build up. Working a job is much the same.

Be smart, be well-read, be aware and be successful.

"Face your fear, empty yourself, trust your own voice, let go of control, have faith in outcomes, connect with a larger purpose, derive meaning from the struggle."
