My best investment returns are always on stocks that I bought several years before they blossomed. They were also out of favor or unrecognized at the time of the purchase. Ross Stores was that way in the early 1990's. Nvidia, Costco and Applied Materials were like that in the 2010 time frame.
I always revisit older books that I have read to re-establish my intellectual grounding around equity investment. Lately, I have been listening to The Intelligent Investor audio version. With all that is going on in the market, it is a great time to "renew your vows".
